Šimon Kučera (1996) is a Slovak visual artist primarily focused on painting and printmaking. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, where he studied in the Department of Painting under Professor Ivan Csudai.
During his studies, Kučera explored various visual approaches but eventually settled on and articulated his work through the language of geometric abstraction. His artworks are characterized by an extension into relief canvases, where abstract forms and spatial effects intersect with object-based principles, creating a unique synthesis of painting and object. He finds inspiration in the digital environment, which he sees as an inseparable part of our existence. His focus is primarily on composition, color, shape, and optical illusion, which form the foundation of his artistic practice. He continuously transforms these visual sources into new possibilities of representation.
Šimon Kučera is an active artist who has already participated in numerous exhibitions both in Slovakia and abroad. His works are part of many private collections worldwide.
